Registration

The CPAT Orientation, Practice Test and Test will take place at the Metra Park Pavilion, 308 6th Avenue North Billings, Montana 59101 on April 22nd and April 23rd, 2024.

The deadline to register is April 17th, 2024.

The physical ability test administered by the Montana Firefighter Testing Consortium is the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF)/International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Candidate Physical Ability Test© (CPAT).

CPAT rules require that you attend CPAT Orientation and CPAT Practice Tests prior to your actual CPAT. You may waive these requirements however you are highly encouraged to attend, especially if you have never taken the CPAT. You will be required to sign a waiver if you do not attend the CPAT Orientation and the CPAT Practice Test.

CPAT Orientation is a walkthrough and practice of each station.

CPAT Practice Test is a timed attempt at the full course. CPAT Practice Test results cannot be used in lieu of the official CPAT Test.

CPAT Test (April 22nd and April 23rd) is the official timed International Association of Firefighters (IAFF)/International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Candidate Physical Ability Test© (CPAT). Successful completion of this test is required to apply with member departments of the Montana Firefighter Testing Consortium.
